Main Masak-Masak

Yesterday, while browsing to some recipe blog, i came across to this blog. The pictures in his blog make me drools.... (slurrppp). A he? Yes...a he! Personally, i think men cook better and faster compared to women (please exclude Maggi mee okay!). What do you think?

Lately, i cant handle my craving to eat prawns. Thus, i've decided to try this recipe. It is called "Udang Goreng Asam". Sounds delicious to me! But wait until you see the picture! Its even look delicious...

Udang goreng Asam - credit to Encik Mat Gebu

Bahan-Bahannya:-
500 g udang sederhana besar
2 camca besar pes asam jawa
1/2 camca teh garam
2 camca besar gula
1 camca teh serbuk lada sulah
2 camca teh kicap pekat
2 ulas bawang putih, ditumbuk lumat
8 camca besar air

Cara membuatnya:-

1. Bersihkan udang, tapi jgn buat kulit, cuma gunting hujung kepala dan buang kotorannya. Tabur garam dan perap 10 minit, kemudian cuci dan toskan.

2. Asam jawa dicampur dengan 8 camca besar air. Kemudian campur dengan semua bahan lain. Kacau rata. Gaul dengan udang yang ditoskan tadi dan perap 1 jam hingga 1 1/2 jam dalam peti sejuk (semalaman lagi sodap).

3. Panaskan 1/2 cawan minyak dalam kuali. Biarkan minyak betul2 panas dan masukkan udang seta bahan2 perap tadi (berhati2 ketika memasukkan udang ke dalam kuali!!). Kacau goreng untuk 1 minit dan kecilkan api, biar udang masak hingga bahan perap menjadi pekat dan bersalut pada udang.

4. Kemudian angkat dan toskan lebihan minyaknya. Done!

Udang Goreng Asam is actually one the most popular Baba and Nyonya cuisine. I love Baba and Nyonya cuisine (okay..okay...i love food!) So, straight after work i went to Midvalley to buy the ingredients and also to meet my friend, Ms Shiela. I have a date with her . We hang out, shop together, chit chat a little bit while having our dinner at Rasamas. Currently Rasamas is having a promotion where every Wednesday from 6-9pm by paying only RM8.90 you can get a meal set and guess what...you can even refill or replenish your food without any additional charges! At home, i prepare to marinate the prawns with all the ingredients. I left the prawns in the fridge over night for better taste. So, today early in the morning i woke up and started to fry the prawns......so Tadhaaaaaaaaaaa...this is my own version of Udang Goreng Asam......


nota kaki: baru lepas makan udang tu dgn nasi lemak....alhamdulillah...sodap gak...hehe

aku marinate smlm...goreng pagi tadi dengan hanya bertuala...giler sexy..haha...nnt kite main masak2 ok?
